About Us
The Hairpreneur Academy is a youth empowerment program for girls ages 8-18 designed to build confidence, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills through the hair and beauty industry. We aim to help girls discover their potential, embrace self-acceptance, and develop real-world skills that prepare them to lead. Through hands-on activities, cultural awareness, and mentorship, we inspire a new generation of confident young entrepreneurs, beauty influencers, and future leaders.

I was blessed enough to be apart of this program for the second year in a row and I can honestly say it only gave me more knowledge and confidence in myself. This second year, I came in hopes that I can sharpen my braid skills, but I was blessed enough to learn and see much more. I was able to learn how to do one of my favorite hairstyles, visit a hair school, and also learn the importance of self love and self-confidence. Honestly, one of the most important things I learned from this program was from Ms. Brittany's mentor and how she explained the importance of having someone to help and teach you about all aspects of life such as spiritual, business, womanhood, etc. I've learned things in this program that I am grateful enough to take with me wherever I go.

The program has been very informative, in many ways it has taught me to to be confident within myself and my hair. One of my favorite things about the program has to be learning how to braid. One of the most important has to be learning the many cultures of hairstyles we all wear today. This is a program I will never take for granted and I really appreciate everyone who was involve.

This program was truly more than just a hair braiding class for me. I learned how to instill a new sense of confidence in myself. We were able to meet some really great speakers and mentors that taught us how they fought their own self-esteem issues and adversity. They were all black women just like us who weren't afraid to be vulnerable and I really admire that about them. As I go off to college, I will always remember the skills and positive affirmations I learned from these women, and how they all came from the same life and area as me. I will utilize their advise and all the skills I was able to learn from Ms. Brittany. The things I learned in this program will be used in my day to day life and passed on to the generations after me.
