The Hairpreneur Academy began in 2022, founded by Brittany Perry. Brittany has been braiding since she was a teenager and has over 15 years of professional experience working with youth and young girls. Ms. Perry's passion for hair braiding and inspiring youth birthed the organization The Hairpreneur Academy.
The Mission of The Hairpreneur Academy. is to provide a place where all children can have the opportunity to discover who they are, and what they can achieve through diversity and cultural literacy by way of the hair and beauty industry. Our program provides a safe environment for young girls and teens (8 to 18 years old) to learn, grow, and strive in the areas of entrepreneurship, leadership, cultural awareness, skin color, and acceptance. We aim to provide quality-based programs under the guidance of trained hair, beauty, and childhood development professionals, and to collaborate with after-school programs, public and private schools, and community programs throughout the community.
The Vision
Promoting self-esteem, confidence, and self-expression among young girls. To help them navigate challenges, break barriers, embrace their unique identities, and mold a new era of young entrepreneurs and future leaders in and outside the hair and beauty industry.
